The X-axis shows population groups with sample size in brackets, and the Y-axis labels the nicotine metabolism. These data provide evidence that a) Maori smokers have significantly (p = 0.001) slower nicotine metabolic rates compared to Caucasian smokers and b) there is a significant linear correlation between nicotine metabolic rate and the degree of Maori ancestry.
